In this period of a limited talent pool, a good maintenance technician is hard to find. Companies increasingly need to hire and train maintenance technicians to meet their needs. To help fill this void, the Society for Maintenance and Reliability Professionals (SMRP) has identified four (4) domains that represent the knowledge, skills and abilities needed for maintenance and reliability technicians. The four domains are: Maintenance Practices, Preventative and Predictive Maintenance, Troubleshooting and Analysis, and Corrective Maintenance.
This interactive workshop, based on the four domains, is designed to provide the attendees with the information needed to increase their knowledge in these areas, so they can more effectively and efficiently use their maintenance skills. The attendee will understand maintenance safety principles, how to effectively participate as a maintenance subject matter expert on a reliability analysis team, lubrication best practices, effective troubleshooting and working with planners and schedulers.
Maintenance manager, leaders and technicians will benefit from this training. Hands on maintenance techniques will be enhanced and they will learn new skills and knowledge. These new skills may include predictive maintenance tools and techniques as well as an understanding of reliability tools and participation in system expert teams.
